ABOUT US

History

Towner & Partners is a design practice founded by Liz Sung & Glen Towner. The studio began as the designated designer for a chain of boutique hotels in China in 2000. The chain, 18 in all, drew attention from near and afar as the first design-oriented boutique hotel chain in China. The chain gained much publicity and as a result Towner & Partners found its footings in the Hospitality sector in China.

In 2003 after successfully designed 18 boutique hotels for the UNOTEL chain in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, the studio in Hong Kong was established which continues to provide architectural and interior design to clients in China as well as in Hong Kong and Japan. Apart from serving the Hospitality sector, Towner & Partners has also made its mark in the Residential Development, Property Management and Tourism Sectors.

Towner & Partners Toronto has evolved overtime as a design practice with expanded service scope for many facets in the build industry. The multi-disciplinary service scope comes with the amalgamation of other professionals in architecture, planning, engineering and project administration skill sets and project experiences.

Approach

At Towner & Partners we feel that successful design is not a personal, philosophical or aesthetic pursuit by individualists but it’s the pursuit of teams of passionate design professionals for the good of all concerned.

Over the years, we have been led by experience that there is always a better design solution. We never put a stop to re-invent ourselves to find new ways to approach designs. We love to explore the unconventional and to adapt to all things new.

We open our eyes and ears to new technologies and current issues and apply them to benefit our clients and the environment.

Through our designs, we strive to find the perfect balance between comfort, sustainability and beauty.

Our goal is not only to create stunning spaces but also to improve lives, well-being, and the environment.
